Spy Kids by Robert Rodriguez

It was 2001 when Robert Rodriguez first revolutionized the spy genre with theSpy Kids, starring Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara as an apparently regular family that suddenly gets involved into a major conspiracy. Both parents get kidnapped and that’s when their children find out they were spies, and there’s nothing left for the kids to do but to go save them.

In the second film, which was release in 2002, also directed by Rodriguez, the kids are now working as spies and have to face an important mission, rescuing the daughter of the President of th United States, while also competing against another duo of young spies, played by Emily Osment (Hannah Montana) and Matt O’Leary (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D).

The third film came out in 2003, and it was a huge deal because of the technology behind it. TitledSpy Kids 3-D: Game Over, it was a 3D experience, something thar very few movies have dared to try by that time.

Spy Kids: All the Time in the Worldwas the fourth and final installment from the saga created byRobert Rodriguez, which was release in 2011. It was presented as a sequel to the third one, because even when it featured members from the original cast, it also introduced new protagonists. The film starred Jessica Alba, Joel McHale, Mason Cook and Rowan Blanchard, and the story followed a retired woman spy who has to get back in action when the powerful villain Timekeeper tries to conquer the world. She then revives the OSS, which was the spy kids organization, and joins former spies and her own children to save humanity.

Spy Kids: Armageddonwill try to continue the legacycreated by Rodriguez by also modernizing the franchise and presenting it to new generations, building a new saga that also centers on family. you may also check out the trailer forSpy Kids: Armageddonbelow:
