Some heroes are made, and some are just born bad. The members of Experimental Unit Clone Force 99 are described as “defective clones with desirable mutations,” so the Republic allowed them to work independently of “regular” clones, sending them on special missions which required a high level of daring and expertise. Boasting a 100% success rate on missions, the four original members of the squad gave themselves a name: The Bad Batch.

They ultimately desert the newly-formed Empire and become mercenaries not only to survive but to protect a young clone girl named Omega.

Following are the major characters inThe Bad Batch, as well as the actors who voice them.

While the other members of the group can be anti-social, Hunter has excellent people skills, making him an effective negotiator. He shows a lot of empathy for innocent civilians, and learning that they were targeted by the Empire fueled his decision to break away from it. After his rescue, he joined the Bad Batch, feeling more at home with the group of outsiders than with “regular” clones.

Crosshair (Dee Bradley Baker)

Crosshair was an original member of the Bad Batch, who made good use of his superior sniper abilities. For unknown reasons, his genetic defects were not as successful as the other Bad Batch members in blocking the effects of the inhibitor chip. As a result, he supported the Emperor’s Order 66, insisting that “good soldiers follow orders.” He decided to abandon the Bad Batch and stayed with the Empire, who sent him on dangerous missions, where he committed numerous atrocities. It wasn’t long, however, beforeCrosshair crossed pathswith the Bad Batch once more.

Omega (Michelle Ang)

Omega is a female clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett. She is a first-generation clone, the genetic equivalent of Jango’s daughter. Boba Fett is the only other first-generation clone, so that makes Omega’s genetic material valuable to the Kaminoans. Although she has some enhanced abilities, she was unmodified, and doesn’t age as quickly as her clone brothers created for warfare. It isn’t clear why Omega was created. When the Bad Batch desert the Empire, Omega joins them. She proves to be an asset to the group at times, although her youth and inexperience are a problem. Her eagerness to help leads her to act impulsively and recklessly, often causing more trouble for the Bad Batch.
