Superman, the latest Warner Bros. installment about theDCsuperhero, has finally been released and fans are already fully on board with the new Man of Steel. The project is one of the year’s most anticipated movie, with the hype getting stronger by the minute. While a sequel has not been announced yet, James Gunn’sSupermanis the official launch of the DC Universe, meaning this won’t be the last time we’ll see the (new) Man of Steel soaring through the skies, and trying to save the world. But what about those who stand by him?Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lanein the newly formed superhero universe, is hoping for a long run as Superman’s partner in the DCU.

The actor famous for her roles in movies likePatriots DayandLouder Than Bombstalked to Comic Book, and she revealed her commitment toGunn’s new visionof the superhero universe. Although it’s probably not the last time we’ll see Clark Kent’s colleague flirting with the reporter, Brosnahan shared her intention to stay within the walls of the DCU for years. Staying for a prolonged time inside an IP is something she knows well, and while she admits it could get tiresome, Brosnahan says that Lois Lane is worth it:

“I’d be so lucky. I mean, we’re early, so talk to me in a couple of years. This industry is so feast or famine. I would feel so lucky to have something, and certainly something as iconic as this, to return to while hopefully I have the opportunity to go out and do other things and live in different universes and come back to this.

“After having worked on a show, I never thought I’d want to be a part of something for five or six years. That felt like a lifetime to me at 26 when we started working on that. And time flies, and you build these families that you sometimes spend more time with than you do with your own. And how lucky to get to go to summer camp every year.”

Her performance earned her multiple wins at the Golden Globes and Emmy Awards, and remains her most important role to date.
