We have our first look at what to expect from the upcomingStar Warshotel, which will be making its way to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World as part of theirStar Warsland expansion. While we don’t have any real photos from the hotel yet, Disney Parks has released several bits of concept art that let fans know what they can expect from theStar Wars themed resort. This looks like it will be the closest thing possible to actually escaping for an overnight stay in a galaxy far, far away.
The images reveal what fans will see from the interior of thisStar Wars hotel, which will be connected to theStar Wars: Galaxy’s Edgetheme park attraction, which opens sometime next year. The concept art is amazing, as the hotel looks exactly like the inside of a rather fancy ship within theStar Warsuniverse. And, as we see, all of the windows look out into space, so you really will believe you’re in the world of the movies, as opposed to at a theme park. Here’s how the resort is being described by Disney Parks.
“This first-of-its-kind resort will combine luxury withcomplete immersion into an authenticStar Wars story. Guests' journey through space will start when everyone departs together for a multiday Stars Wars adventure by boarding a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during a voyage through the galaxy. At the resort, guests immediately become active citizens of the galaxy and can dress up in the proper attire. Every resort window will also have a view into space. The opportunity for immersion at this resort will also stand out among all Disney resorts around the globe, as it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a total Star Wars experience.”
This will go along with the experience fans will be able to have atStar Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which includes, among other things, the chance to pilot and tour the Millennium Falcon. The theme park extension will also include theStar WarsCantina, themed food and drinks and familiar characters from theStar Warsuniverse hanging around. Couple that with being able to stay in what looks to be a truly amazing resort and this could be adream come truefor a great manyStar Warsfans around the world.
There are a couple of things to consider. For one, it hasn’t been revealed exactly when theStar Warshotel will open, so don’t start making travel plans just yet. Also, the demand for this is going to be through the roof, so it’s probably going to be very difficult to get a booking and, even if you do, the park and hotel are likely to be absolutely packed after the attraction opens and that could last quite a while. Plus, we have no idea what this resort is going to cost and, by the looks of things, this may not be the cheapest of experiences forStar Warsfans. Still, it’s probably going to be well worth it, based on what we’re seeing here. You can check out the concept art, courtesy of theDisney Parks Blog, for yourself below.
