The new series goes behind the scenes of movie classics and is coming out with some big guns. Season 1 is taking a deeper look atDie Hard,Ghostbusters,Home Alone, andDirty Dancing, which should be a hit right away. As it turns out, making these movies wasn’t exactly easy work as the trailer shows us.

The Movies That Made Uswas originally announced byNetflixover the summer during San Diego Comic-Con. Movie fans were excited to finally take a look at the docuseries, but the streaming platform did not announce a release date. We now know that the series will debut November 29th, exclusively on Netflix. All four episodes will be released at the same time and they will all be ready to get the binge weekend started.

Dan Aykroydis featured in the trailer talking about the making ofGhostbusters, which apparently cost quite a bit of money to make. Speaking of money, the show more than likely set Netflix back a decent amount of cash too. We’re seeing footage from all four of these classic movies, along with commentary from the people behind-the-scenes and the actors that made the movies happen.Dirty Dancingalmost didn’t make it into theaters, which should be a pretty interesting story. John McClane was apparently seen as wuss because he was always running away from the villains. That’s an interesting take on one of the biggest action heroes of all time.

The Nacelle Company, which produces The Toys That Made Us, are the ones responsible forThe Movies That Made Us. Nacelle founder and CEO Brian Volk Weiss directs new series and executive produces alongside Cisco Henson, Ben Frost, and Jay Chapman. One has to wonder if they will be able to make another season of a show that focuses on some of the biggest movies in cinematic history. They have been very successful withThe Toys That Made Us, which just debuted its season 3.
