The final episodes will begin airing sometime in March 2025, although no specific release date has been confirmed yet. The final episode count remains unclear, but it seems the beloved comedy series was not canceled abruptly and will indeed come to a natural conclusion. Series co-creator and star Danny McBride shared a statement confirming thatThe Righteous Gemstoneswill be ending on its own terms, teasing a “wild final season” full of twists and turns.
“The Lord spoke to me and said it’s time to wrap this sucker up. The story this season made the themes, ideas, and characters in ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ feel whole and complete. I have loved every second of working with this team for the past eight years, and there are some incredible payoffs, twists, and turns in store over the course of this wild final season.”
Of course, it is reassuring to hear fromThe Righteous Gemstonescreators themselves that the series will be ending as they originally intended. However, it’s hard not to already miss the dynamic that has beencarefully nurtured over the three-season run. Thankfully, it seems everyone from the main cast will be returning for the final season ofThe Righteous Gemstones, and hopefully, each member gets their time in the spotlight before the curtains close on them.
