Following the insane cliffhanger at the end of season 6, the anticipation for the premiere episode ofThe Walking Dead season 7has been feverish. Now, we are less than two weeks away from seeing who will meet their end at the hands (or bat, if you will) of Negan. AMC has just released a brand new synopsis for the premiere episode, as well as the title for that episode which only makes us all the more eager forThe Walking Deadto come back.
The title and synopsis come to us courtesy ofComicbook.comand they don’t exactly tease a happy start to season 7, which shouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise. Thepremiere episode of The Walking Deadwill be called “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be,” which is very vague but also ominous and gloomy. The synopsis is also pretty bleak, but it is clear thatNeganis going to live up to the hype in terms of being a ruthless threat to the cast. Here is the synopsis for the episode.
“Last season ended with Rick and our group kneeling helplessly before Negan and his group. What Negan does will haunt those who survive forever.”
Perhaps not since someone shot Mr. Burns onThe Simpsonshave we have a had a cliffhanger that has been talked about as much as what happened at the end of season 6 onThe Walking Dead. We know that Negan is going to kill a cast member with his trusty bat Lucille and that it isn’t going to be an ancillary character. We are going to lose someone very important and according to this synopsis, it is going to have a serious emotional ripple effect. AMC has taken extreme precautions to make sure that thecliffhanger wasn’t spoiled, as they reportedly filmed several different versions of the resolution to prevent a spoiler leak.
