While we don’t know if the election betweenDonald TrumpandHillary Clintonwill ever be adapted for the big screen, we do know of one recent hit that was somewhat inspired by this election.
Back in May, filmmakerJames DeMonacoadmitted that his sequelThe Purge: Election Yearwas partially inspired by the race between these two candidates. Given how this election has dominated the news cycle and various aspects of pop culture throughout the year, it wouldn’t be surprising to learn that aDonald Trumpvs.Hillary Clintonmovie could some day hit the screen. Until then, fans can see this rivalry play out on the small screen as well.
