Vin Dieselis set to reunite with renowned filmmaker David Twohy for the fourth installment of theRiddickfilm franchise. Vin Diesel and David Twohy are coming back on the big screen for another round of action inRiddick: Furya. The pair last worked together almost a decade ago forRiddickin 2013.
Deadlinereports that the film will be written and directed by Twohy while Diesel is set to star and produce the film through his production outfit One Race Films alongside Samantha Vincent. The film franchise started in 2000 upon the release of the filmPitch Black, followed byThe Chronicles of Riddickin 2004 andRiddickin 2013.
Due to popular demand, Twohy decided to cave in and give fans what they want. He said, “Our legion fans have demanded it for years, and now we’re finally ready to honor their call to action with Riddick: Furya. My collaboration with Vin and One Race has spanned 20 fruitful years, as together we’ve created three movies, two video games, an anime production, and motion comics for the internet. This new big-screen event will see a return to Riddick’s homeworld, where we finally get to explore Riddick’s genesis.”
Rocket Science will handle the worldwide sales of the film along with CAA Media Finance at the European Film Market to be held in Berlin next week.

Riddick: Furya Took Almost a Decade to Become a Reality
Riddick: Furyais finally happening after taking almost ten years in development since the fourth installment was planned in January 2014. Just a few months after the release ofRiddickin 2013, Vin Diesel had already stated that Universal Pictures was seeking to make yet anotherRiddickfilm.
Two years after, Diesel shared in 2016 that the next film would be titledThe Chronicles of Riddick: Furya,which was then shortened toRiddick: Furyaby 2019. With the recent announcements, fans are overjoyed as the film is now becoming a reality.
As per Deadline,Riddick: Furya’s summary is as follows “In the new film, Riddick finally returns to his home world, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins by the Necromongers. But there he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new enemy. And some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.”
