Few details have been revealed about the second season ofWednesday, other than a premiere date sometime in 2025. During Netflix Geeked Week, the streaming servicereleased a brief, behind-the-scenes clipshowing the cast and crew hard at work without letting any major spoilers slip. However, fans had heard nothing but radio silence until this morning, when the first photo of Ortega (which you can check out below!) truly inhabiting her iconic Wednesday persona was released. The photo depicts Ortega standing at the foot of a stone staircase between two hooded statues, with a set of ominous-looking gates looming further in the background.

The first season ofWednesdaysaw the show’s titular character attending the supernaturally inclined boarding school Nevermore Academy, where she worked to control her psychic abilities while tracking down a monster responsible for terrorizing the nearby town. Although not much is known about the plot of season two, the cast is full of returning characters and even a few new faces. Guest stars include the venerable Christopher Lloyd — who is likely reprising his role as Uncle Fester from the Addams Family movies — as well as Joanna Lumley, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo. Perhaps most surprisingly,Lady Gaga is also expected to make a cameo.
