The game includes the revelation that Indy left Marion abruptly for his latest adventure in Egypt, which seems to have been a spur of the moment decision to get away from his problems at home. During his months away, Indy left friend Marcus Brody answering calls from Marion, and it is clear that in the end, Marion gave up on the situation and left Indy.
Indiana Jones’ Relationship with Marion is at the Heart of the Franchise
The relationship between Indy and Marion did not begin withRaiders of the Lost Ark. The pair, canonically, actually met more than a decade before the events of the movie. Possibly as a sign of what was to come, they parted ways when Indy chose to pursue his archeology career instead.
