WithThor: Ragnarokset to start production this summer in Australia, there have been no shortage of rumors swirling around the project over the past few weeks. A report surfaced last week that thevillainof this story is Hela, who may be portrayed byCate Blanchett. And we also know thatMark Ruffalois returning as Hulk.Ray Stevenson, who played Volstagg inThorandThor: The Dark World, recently revealed in an interview withGeeks Worldwidethat he still isn’t sure yet if he is returning as this character.

“I’m still in the dark in regards to that, but I’m absolutely blown away to be apart of something that so influential and integral in a part of our generation in regards to movie watching and thisMarvel Universe. Its absolutely incredible and if there’s a place for Volstagg then great, but right now I don’t know. He was great to play. Vikings in space!”

Chris HemsworthandTom Hiddlestonwill return asThorand Loki, withMark Ruffalojoining them asHulk. Both Thor and Hulk are said to go on a “cosmic road trip” inThor: Ragnarok. It still isn’t known ifThorandThor: The Dark WorldstarsNatalie Portman(Jane Foster),Anthony Hopkins(Odin),Stellan Skarsgård(Dr. Erik Selvig) andIdris Elba(Heimdall) will be back. In a separate interview withReel Film News,Ray Stevensonreiterated that he isn’t sure about his return, teasing how this movie helps build up to the climax inAvengers: Infinity War Part IandAvengers: Infinity War - Part II.

“The Marvel Universe, the way it’s played out as you know, has had three Iron Mans, [there will be] three Captain Americas, and then they’re building up to this amazing climax ofThe Avengers. With that said, I feel that everything is geared towards creating a library which fans can immerse themselves in. Now, does this mean that fans will see every single character involved [in Thor: Ragnarok]? Who knows? Would I love to be involved in that? I hope so, however, even if I’m not, I just wish [Marvel Studios] continued success in their incredible endeavor. I definitely feel that [what they have done] has become a staple to our generation. Until you sign the dotted line or know that it’s actually a reality, it’s up to the powers that be to decide if your character is right for the story. At this point, I don’t know.”
